Tim Modra

Tim Modra started Modra Technology in 1991. His professional engineering focus has been in areas of Product Development and Industrial Design. He is the Managing Director of Modra Technology and his vision has seen the company grow from a small, niche business into a highly respected global operation, making machinery for the carpet industry.

Tim is an inventor with a passion for identifying how the latest technology can be applied to solve old, systemic problems within this industry. His experience working with mechanical and electronic control systems, combined with an ability to understand complex technical problems has enabled the development of smart systems and machinery. Tim’s experience and expertise is highly sought-after, and he regularly collaborates with other leaders within the textile industry to come up with new and innovative solutions to old problems – the most recent and exciting development being the CreelMT™.
